BLANK  FIRING  ADAPTOR ( BFA-1) FOR  5.56MM  PRONGED FLASH HIDERS

I created this in 2014 before my ODA conducted training at NTC (FT. Irwin). Our team was equipped with SUREFIRE hiders and suppressors however, there was no solution for blank fire with pronged hiders. After the pain of having to take off our SUREFIRE flash hiders and reinstall the birdcage hider, the BFA-1 was created.

The BFA-1 allows the ability to conduct training at the unit level and training with partner forces utilizing 5.56mm rifles with pronged or SUREFIRE flash hiders. The BFA-1 is a requirement that has existed for 10+ years and has been requested by US/NATO military units at all levels. BFA-1 is significantly cheaper option to the SUREFIRE SF-BSD-5.56 and is expressively simple allowing for reliability in rugged training environments utilized by SOF.

The housing of the BFA-1 is constructed of 7075 aircraft grade aluminum, giving the BFA-1 lightweight at 3.1 oz and extremely durable qualities. The nozzle plug is made from 416 stainless steel. The head of the BFA-1 threads are protected by a steel helical insert to provide added strength and safety features. BFA-1 is 100% made in U.S.A.
